Who is responsible

is responsible for the processing described here.

Visiting the website

unruh uses no analytics or advertising trackers and sets no application cookies. The waitlist signup security check is described below. Our hosting provider processes technical information, including IP addresses and requested pages, to deliver and protect the website. Providers may retain operational logs under their own policies.

Waitlist and early-access emails

With your consent, we use your email address to send a confirmation request for the unruh waitlist, then notify you when early access becomes available and send launch updates. We store your address, consent wording and time, and confirmation status and time. We do not sell the list or build advertising profiles.

You join the waitlist after confirming your email address. Everyone on the confirmed waitlist will receive access when early access launches. We’ll email you with access details at that time. Signing up does not activate access immediately. Updates include an unsubscribe link.

Retention

Confirmation links expire after 24 hours. Expired pending registrations are removed within the next hour while the service runs. Confirmed registrations are removed when you unsubscribe, when the waitlist closes or after 12 months without an update. A separate newsletter would require a new opt-in.

Removal deletes the active database record. Earlier copies may remain in provider backups until they expire and are not used for further emails.

Service providers and international processing

Render, a US-based provider, hosts the website and registration database. The website and registration database are hosted in Frankfurt (EU Central), Germany.

Infomaniak provides email services in Switzerland. Cloudflare provides DNS and the Turnstile security check.

Render and Cloudflare are US-based providers and may process technical and service data in the United States and other countries. Their published data-processing terms provide for applicable Data Privacy Framework protections and standard contractual clauses, including Swiss adaptations. Infomaniak hosts its email service in Switzerland; messages are also delivered to your chosen email provider, whose processing locations and terms may differ. The Frankfurt hosting region does not restrict all processing to the EU.

Provider terms: Render DPA, Infomaniak data protection, Cloudflare DPA.

Waitlist signup security

When you interact with the signup form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks browser and device signals, including IP address, to detect automated requests. Cloudflare processes these signals to protect this site and, as a separate controller, to improve its bot detection. Our server sends the verification token to Cloudflare; it does not send your email address. See the Turnstile privacy notice.

Verification token hashes expire after ten minutes and are removed at the next registration or maintenance pass. Short-lived request counts also limit abuse. Confirmation-send limits use a hash of your email address and attempt times. These counters expire after 24 hours and are removed on the next signup or hourly maintenance pass, even if you unsubscribe in the meantime. They do not keep you on the waitlist. The application does not log email addresses or verification tokens. These checks reduce abuse without guaranteeing that every bot is blocked. The responsible person’s name is loaded on request. This display choice does not prevent automated access.
