Today, information is everywhere.
With a single tap, we can access more news, opinions and content than ever before.
But access to information is not the same as knowing what to trust.
AI-generated content is becoming harder to distinguish from reality. Algorithms decide what millions of people see. Different sources can describe the same event in completely different ways, while misinformation, propaganda and attention-driven headlines make it increasingly difficult to understand what is actually happening.
That is why we created unruh.
unruh is an independent news platform built around clarity, transparency and trust. We collect information from multiple sources, cross-check it, provide context and keep stories updated as new information becomes available.
Inspired by Swiss values such as neutrality, independence and precision, our goal is not to tell people what to think. We want to give them the information they need to form their own opinion.
We believe journalism should serve the reader, not the algorithm.
Today, many people discover the news through social media, where algorithms, engagement metrics and platform incentives influence what reaches them. Traditional media faces its own pressures, with headlines and stories often competing for clicks, attention and screen time.
We believe there is another way.
unruh wants to combine the standards of professional journalism with the way a new generation consumes information. Clear explanations. Strong visual storytelling. Transparent sources. Multiple perspectives. Modern technology.
Technology, including AI, helps us research, analyse and process large amounts of information. Human judgement remains essential for verification, context and editorial decisions.
Our goal is not to keep you scrolling.
Our goal is to help you understand what is happening.
We believe reliable information should be accessible to everyone, regardless of where they live or which platform they use.
One world. Billions of perspectives. One shared need to understand it.
That is unruh.
